Hi, I'm Sarah, founder of The Wax Specialist.
After almost 20 years working in project management, I was ready for something new! I made the decision to pursue a profession that combined precision, expertise, and exceptional client care. It was a career change driven by a passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin.
I trained in both general and intimate waxing with two of the industry's most respected educators: Kim Lawless, The Wax Queen, and Andy Rouillard of Axiom Wax Academy. I also hold VTCT Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, ensuring every treatment is delivered to the highest professional standards.
In 2019, I founded The Wax Specialist with a simple philosophy: to offer expert waxing in a welcoming, discreet, and professional environment.
Waxing can feel a little daunting, especially if it's your first time, but I don't believe it should be. My aim is to make every appointment as relaxed, professional, and (dare I say it!) enjoyable as possible. Expect plenty of chat, absolutely no judgement, and a treatment delivered with care, attention to detail, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
I can't promise waxing will become your favourite pastime, but I can promise you'll leave feeling smoother, more confident, and wondering why you didn't book sooner!

My role isn't to judge—it's to make you feel welcome, cared for, and confident throughout your visit. We all come in different shapes and sizes and from different backgrounds, and that's something to celebrate. Individuality is what makes us who we are, and everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin.
When it comes to your treatment, I never compromise on quality. That's why I use premium waxes and products from world renowned brands such as Perron Rigot, Italwax and Outback Organics, trusted by waxing professionals for their exceptional performance, superior comfort, and outstanding results.
Your comfort, safety, and wellbeing are always my priority. I maintain the highest standards of hygiene by wearing disposable gloves for every treatment, using single-use spatulas without exception (no double dipping - ever!), and ensuring all equipment and treatment surfaces are thoroughly sanitised between appointments.
